About Dr. Ronald Birnbaum, D.D.S., M.P.H.

Dr. Birnbaum was born and raised in New York.
At the age of 16 he decided he wanted to become a dentist.

After undergraduate university study from 1988-1992, he attended dental school at Columbia University, graduating in 1998 from the College of Dental Medicine with the degree Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) and the School of Public Health with the degree Master in Public Health (M.P.H.).

Dr. Birnbaum completed a Residency in General Practice Dentistry and Fellowship in Dental Medicine at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center (now Mount Sinai Hospital) in 1999.

He worked for over five years as on-site staff dentist at the hospital, providing essential routine and emergency care to the community. During this time he was also a volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor of Dentistry at Columbia University.

He is Past-President of the Eastern Dental Society of Manhattan, and served for a number of years as a Member of the Board of the New York County Dental Society component of the New York State Dental Association, a member society of the American Dental Association.

Dr. Birnbaum is currently Associate Attending on staff at Mount Sinai Hospital. He opened his private practice in 2006. In 2018, as we celebrate our twelfth year, we hope you will join the thousands of other patients we have welcomed.
